Venus was instrumental in planning and deployment of the State-wide HMIS project for Department of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal. The project involved preparation of framework and implementation of State of Art Local Area Network (LAN) in all Medical Colleges & Hospitals, District Hospitals, Sub-Divisional and State General Hospitals in West Bengal including supply and installation of nearly 500 nos. PC’s with accessories. Venus has also executed campus wide networking at ARTI Salboni, GEC Jalpaiguri, KMDA, Administrative Training Institute, Nandan/Rabindra Sadan complex, St. Thomas’ College, BP Poddar Institute and many others.
Venus has been the key IT partner in the state wide computerization project for the Department of Transport, Govt. of West Bengal. This project involves installing required LAN, on-line servers on Linux and Oracle platform, PC’s and other related accessories. Venus is also the chosen partner in the on-going, long term, build-operate-transfer (BOT) project in PPP model of Motor Vehicles Department at Hooghly, North 24 Parganas, Purba and Paschim Burdwan for production of driving licences and vehicle registration certificates.

Venus has executed the Virtual Classroom Project at about 325 government colleges in West Bengal for the Higher Education Department. Venus has also executed the Smart Classroom project at 300 madrasahs across the state. Computer labs have been constructed and equipped at 65 madrasahs as well as some schools and engineering colleges. Hundreds of CLRC’s and thousands of primary schools were computerised under the Sarva Shiksha Mission.

Complete end-to-end solution for campus wide CCTV surveillance at Rabindra Sadan / Nandan complex, Minerva theatre, Madhusudan Mancha and some small sites was implemented. This included construction of control room, remote monitoring via smart phones, distributed monitoring by designated officers and a satellite control room at state headquarters. Smart cameras with artificial intelligence were deployed and configured to trigger alarms on anomalous events without human intervention.

Anganwadi workers across the state were given customised, pre-configured, restricted use smartphones to enable them to update field reports directly from the work site.

Venus has designed, developed and maintained the Integrated COVID-19 Call Centre Management Application (ICCMA) for the Health and Family Welfare department as well as operated the outgoing call centre with up to 60 telecallers. This endeavour of the WB Government was bestowed the SKOCH Award Gold for ‘Response to COVID’. Venus has also installed mobile GPS and CCTV equipment in all the vehicles being used in the vaccination effort.
